Can Ask make up numbers?
No. Ask never writes free text. It picks one of 82 tested questions, runs the query on the same engine as your dashboard and fills a sentence template with the result. Every figure in the sentence is checked against the rows before you see it; if one does not match, you get the numbers without the sentence.
Does an AI company see my data?
No. Ask runs on our own servers. No outside AI model ever sees your data. A small open model, EmbeddingGemma 2, runs next to the database and only compares your question with the questions Ask knows. Your events, revenue and customers never leave the servers that already store them.
How do I connect Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor?
Add ProductLense’s MCP address in the assistant’s connector settings and sign in when it asks. You choose read access, or read and write; writes such as creating a note always ask the assistant to confirm first, and you can disconnect any app from your account page at any time without affecting the others.
How many questions can I ask?
Free accounts get 5 a month, Starter 50, Growth 300 and Scale 1,000. A person can ask 20 a minute and a site 30. A repeated question returns the cached answer: for 15 seconds when the range includes today, and for a day when it ends in the past, since those numbers no longer change.
What can the CLI do?
Sign in once with npx @productlense/cli login, then print sites, stats, breakdowns, live visitors, goals, funnels, profit and Ask answers. It shows tables in a terminal and JSON when piped, so scripts, cron jobs and AI agents read the same numbers you see in the dashboard, with no dependencies to install.
